Who is responsible for your data

The principle

We only collect what we need to sell to you, deliver to you, answer you or advise you. We do not sell or rent your data, we do no targeted advertising, and the site contains no advertising tracker.

What we collect, and why

Depending on what you do on the site:

• Order — name, email, phone, city, district, delivery address, notes, preferred payment method, items and amounts. To prepare, confirm (by phone) and deliver your order, then invoice it.
• Customer account — email address or phone number, password, and the name, phone and city you choose to add; your favourites and the history of your orders and quotes. Your password is stored by our provider in a one-way scrambled (hashed) form: nobody at MMA Déco can read it. If you sign in with Google, Google sends us your name, email address and profile picture.
• Quote request (bespoke and professionals) — your project (type, room, dimensions, need, style, budget, materials), the plans and photos you attach, and your contact details (name, email, phone, city, and company and trade for professionals). To study your project and reply.
• Contact message — name, email, phone if given, subject and message. To reply to you.
• Newsletter — your email and language, only if you subscribe. To send you our news.
• Customer review — your rating, your text, and the name and city you choose to display. They are published on the site. The order number and email you enter are only used to check that the order is yours and was delivered: the email is not stored with the review.
• Order tracking — the number and email you enter are used to find the order, and are not stored.
• Abuse protection — to limit repeated form submissions, we compute a fingerprint of your IP address that cannot be turned back into it. The address itself is not stored.
• Technical logs — like any website, our host's servers temporarily record technical information about each request (IP address, browser, page requested) to keep the site secure and running.
• Audience measurement — only if you accept it: pages viewed, where the visit comes from, country, type of device and browser, loading times. No cookie, and no identifier that follows you from one site to another.

What we never ask for

No payment is made on the site: the payment method you choose is arranged afterwards with our team. The site therefore never receives a card number or a Mobile Money code.

On what basis

We use your data to carry out your order or answer your request, to meet our legal obligations (accounting), and with your consent for the newsletter, the publication of a review and audience measurement. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Who can see it

The MMA Déco team, each according to their role: the administration area limits access by permission and keeps a log of actions. And our technical providers, only to run the site:

• Vercel Inc. — hosting of the site and, if you accept it, audience measurement.
• Supabase Inc. — database, customer accounts, attached files and the sending of sign-in emails.
• Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google”.
• The SMS provider used by Supabase — only if you sign in with your phone number, to send you the code.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you write to us on WhatsApp: the link opens the app, and your conversation there is governed by WhatsApp's rules.

We share your data with no one else, unless the law requires it.

Where your data is kept

Vercel and Supabase are companies established in the United States: your data is kept on their servers, outside Cameroon. It is encrypted in transit, and at rest on Supabase's servers. Plans and photos attached to quote requests are kept in a private space that is never publicly accessible.

How long we keep it

• Orders and invoices: ten years, the retention period for accounting records.
• Customer account: as long as it exists. Deleted on request — orders are still kept for accounting.
• Quote requests that do not lead to an order: three years.
• Contact messages: three years after our last exchange.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Reviews: as long as they are published, and removed on request.
• Audience measurement: aggregated statistics, with no data that identifies you.
• Our host's technical logs: a few days at most.

Your rights

Under Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data in Cameroon, you can at any time:

• access your data and get a copy of it;
• have it corrected;
• have it deleted, except what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices;
• object to its use, or withdraw your consent (newsletter, review, audience measurement).

Write to us at Lamaisondelafinition1@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +237 692 066 600. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within one month at most.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you can refer the matter to the personal data protection authority established by that law.

Security

Encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the whole site; passwords never visible, even to us; attached files in a private space; staff access limited by role and recorded in a log; filters against robots and abusive submissions. If a data breach put you at risk, we would inform you and the competent authority.

Minors

The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data about minors; if that happens, write to us and we will delete it.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses no advertising cookie and no third-party tracker. What it keeps in your browser is needed for it to work, and is not used to follow you:

The administration area, reserved for our team, uses its own session cookies.
